We are getting ready to pull up stakes and head for Newfoundland. The rig's generator was serviced today with an oil change and new air filter and should be ready for another 150 hours of operation. We expect to do some "boondocking" (i.e. dry camping) so it will come in handy.
The rig is plugged into shore power and the fridge is cooling so it can be packed with food tomorrow. The outside temperature is in the 90's so it will take a while.
The rig has to be level for the fridge to work properly and getting level is a two step process. First pads of wood and plastic are placed under the front leveler feet and the rig raised as far as it will go. Then the wood ramps are placed under the front wheels and rig dropped down. Then more pads of wood and plastic are placed under the front leveler feet and the rig is raised again. This time the rig can get level. The front wheels, which are dangling, are now a foot off the ground. Getting going is easier since, once the rig is dropped down and all the pads are removed, it's possible to drive off the ramps and then pull them out of the way and go. The ramps stay home where the worst sloped site we stay in is. :-)
The odometer reads 64115 miles.
