We had a late start from the Pippy Park's campground. With sewer hook-ups, we took those long showers instead of Navy showers, fully filled up our fresh water tank, and took advantage of the fast Wi-fi internet service near by. Fresh water has that rusty look in most other places.
We made a farewell visit to Costco for salad fixings and a supply of kippers which were judged to be pretty good. So far, price-wise, it's the only real deal in Canada.
We stopped at a visitor center at Bay Bulls and picked up some brochures for sea bird and whale watching tours which we'll do tomorrow.
We went on to La Manche Provincial Park. This time we tried a site with "no services". At the provincial park here it means no electrical power. These sites cost $15/day. Water is available here and there in the park but not at individual camp sites. There is one holding tank dump station.
It is a nice park with a trail to a waterfall and a longer one to an abandoned fishing village. A mile to the waterfall was good enough for us.
