We continued on the TCH to St. John's and it's Pippy Park campground where we'll stay for a few days. On the way, we drove by Gander, NL where on 9/11/2001 when US airspace was closed, cross-Atlantic flights with 6,000 passengers landed and had to be provided accommodations for days, many in private homes. We'll revisit that area later.
We also made a brief visit to the Terra Nova National Park visitor center on our lunch stop. Again we'll have a proper visit there later.
The Pippy Park campground does have Wi-fi but it's in another loop with pull-through sites and 50 Amp service. But, that loop is in an open field while we're in wooded back-in site. Given how the Wi-fi antenna is set up, we have to walk over there to pick it up. They also limit how many connections they allow at any time and that's a problem in the evening.
Odometer reads 66,463.
