After setting up camp, we called our Lazy Daze friends Mike and Elizabeth C. We met them at a Southeast Lazy Daze get-together in Georgia last fall when they came by as "wannabes". They got their rig this spring. Mike and I have been communicating via email since. Mike has been coming to Newfoundland for over 25 years and even have a home overlooking Portugal Cove.
They came by the campsite and took us to dinner to place called "Pi", a fancy pizza place. They had all kinds of pizzas with science and mathematics related names as well as other food. We had a pizza with salmon which was quite good.
We got a tour of Portugal Cove, adjoining St. Phillip's as well as their home and rig. Their rig has the optional modern paint scheme and is a different floor plan. Mike showed me the collection of improvements that he has made to the rig. I'm sure he's got the only Lazy Daze with a bidet. :-)
