It was a longer but slower travel day.
We stopped by the Cable Station museum in Heart's Content again to see about picking up a souvenir specific to the place. Lots of generic NL stuff and local crafts, but not much choice other than XL T-shirts and a book about trans-Atlantic communication and Newfoundland. So, I got the book.
We drove around Trinity Bay and while on the TCH had to put up with light rain and fair amount of fog. While the locals are supposed to use running lights during the day, if the vehicle has them, some did not have lights in the fog.
We stopped at three different visitor centers, but none had Wi-fi. The last visitor center told us about a coffee shop that had free Wi-fi for its patrons and that was good for us. I got to post a few days of log entries.
Since it was getting late in the afternoon, we decided to head for the only provincial park in the Bonavista Peninsula and that's Lockston Path Provincial Park. Other than 3 miles dirt road that happens to be a numbered highway, it is a nice park. Once again, we stayed off the grid.
Odometer reads 67,137.
