We have not fallen off the earth. Wi-fi is not always available and in any case receiving emails and reading stuff trumps me chattering.
The only scheduled thing for the day was the oil change in the afternoon. The garage was an interesting experience. It's run by a mechanic/owner and I think a couple of his sons. He was doing all the work and they were basically standing around watching.I used our RVs levelers to raise the front of the rig so he could get underneath. His help did get him tools as he called out for them. He also went around greasing up the various grease fittings. It was amazing how much grease was used in some grease fittings given the 60 K service was done just 4 K miles ago. Half way through the work he stopped to sell a used car, one of the four that were sitting in his parking lot. My cost for the oil and lube was $50 w/o any paperwork. I know where that $50 bill is going.
We camped in a parking lot behind the town library. And, for the first time since leaving home, we went out to have dinner. It was at a Chinese restaurant that we had walked by earlier in the day.
We got up after 2:00 AM and drove over to the ferry terminal and got to be the first in the RV line. We slept there until morning.
