We got the rig on the ferry, but had to leave it with Tsing-Tsing inside for the sailing while we had to go to the passenger deck. The LP gas tank has to be turned off, so our refrigerator became a cooler.
The 9:30 AM ferry, as often happens, did not leave on time. It was after 11:00 AM when it started moving. The ferry, Atlantic Vision, tried to make up some time and got to Port aux Basques in just 4 hours.
We had one happy dog when we were allowed to go down to our rig's parking deck. Being first in line payed off with an early exit.
We drove to the nearby J. T. Cheeseman Provincial Park (henceforth PP) and got an annual provincial pass for $20. The pass avoids future $5 day-use fees at the provincial fees. The camping fee was $23 for a site with electricity. Although they had some black flies about, it was good sleeping!
